Market Manager

We believe a workplace food program is something employees should love and look forward to every day. Powered by technology and a network of over 1,000 restaurants, Fooda feeds hungry people at work through our ongoing food programs located within companies and office buildings. Every day, each Fooda location is served by different restaurants that come onsite and serve fresh lunch from their chef’s unique menus. Fooda operates in thirteen major US cities and plans to continue its expansion across the United States and internationally.

Position Overview:

Fooda is expanding rapidly and now operate in eleven US markets including: Chicago, New York, Boston, LA, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Nashville, Dallas, Houston, San Jose and  Due to this growth, we are looking to add a sales leader to accelerate our presence into future markets by pre-selling clients into new markets  followed by launching, managing and growing those markets.   

While this role has both operations and sales components, it is at its core a sales role.   The role is focused on leveraging our existing resources and developing new relationships which will allow Fooda to expand quicker, with greater success in each of our new markets.

Who You Are:

  • You have 10+ years experience in a Sales and Operations leadership position
  • Experience with project management and ability to successfully complete initiatives from start to finish 
  • Very organized and detail orientated; ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Willingness to speak up, have your own voice, and challenge the status quo
  • Cheery disposition and positive attitude – startups are a rollercoaster and a great outlook is critical

What You Will be Responsible For:

  • This is a hunter role, you will close business and open and grow your market
  • Pre-sell ten new clients into your assigned Market
  • Work with our Restaurant Sales team to sell and on-board 20 restaurants to support your Markets launch
  • Recruit and manage an operations team to support the ongoing growth of your market
  • Conduct outbound calls to build relationships and set meetings with corporate customers
  • Be Comfortable closing new accounts through in-person meetings with potential customers
  • Be resourceful in reaching new customers and diligent with following up on your leads
  • Collaborate with existing markets leadership and Marketing department to leverage pre-existing relationships and adapt marketing campaigns
