Human Resources Associate

Position Overview:

Fooda is looking to add a Human Resources Associate to join our team. This is an excellent position for someone who is looking to grow their HR career at a fast growing company while having exposure to all areas of our business.

What You Will be Doing:

  • Offer Administrative support and respond to requests for all Human Resources related inquires including: employee and I-9 verifications and Fooda’s Benefit programs
  • Maintain and administer Fooda’s Internal HRIS System, Zenefits to process new hires, terminations, promotions and transfers
  • Support recruiting by sourcing candidates and scheduling phone and onsite interviews
  • Own and maintain all employee personnel files ensuring compliance with local and state laws
  • Assist with preparations of new hire training including travel arrangements for hires not local to Chicago
  • Work in collaboration with Accounting/Finance for employee compensation and payroll for both salaried and hourly employees
  • Properly offboard terminated employees adhering to established processes for full time and part time status’
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects and additional responsibilities dependent on Fooda’s needs

What You Should Already Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of Human Resources experience (preferably in a start-up environment) with a passion to expand your skillset
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to prioritize and multi task
  • Aptitude to work well both individually and as a team member
