Software Engineer Intern

Powered by technology and a network of over 1,000 restaurants, Fooda feeds hungry people at work through our ongoing food programs located within companies and office buildings. Every day, each Fooda location is served by different restaurants that come onsite and serve fresh lunch from their chef’s unique menus. Fooda operates in eight major US cities and plans to continue its expansion across the United States and internationally.

Position Overview:

Fooda is looking for 2017 graduates to join our technology team for a summer internship opportunity!  to As a Software Developer Intern for Fooda, you will have the opportunity to experience all technical areas of Fooda’s growing business.  You’ll be part of a team large enough to support your growth and small enough where you can learn to build amazing software

This is a paid internship to be based in Fooda’s Chicago location.

Who You Are:

  • You are or will be a 2017 Graduate from an Accredited University with a Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science Preferred)
  • You are savvy with technology and will be comfortable in a fast-paced startup
  • You have strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • You are optimistic in the face of problems and know that you’re capable of finding solutions
  • Strong communication skills and being a self-starter are required
  • You are looking to learn and contribute your ideas in a startup culture

What You Will  Be Responsible For:

  • Partner with our Engineers to build high quality web and mobile apps
  • Fooda is always testing evaluating and adopting new technologies so you’ll be able to push your boundaries and learn new skills


  • Experience with Swift, Android, Java, Ruby on Rails is a huge plus
  • We are open to Backend, Android and iOS Engineers, so let us know what your preferred platform is


  • Paid Internship/Hourly
  • $5 lunch subsidy
  • Excellent learning experience in a fast-paced environment
